The Faculty of Science and Technology, The UWI Mona extends congratulations to Dr. Louis-Ray Harris from the Department of Physics on his recent promotion to the position of Senior Lecturer. Dr. Harris has notably developed expertise in the field of Wireless Communications, particularly Satellite Communications, and Information Communication Technologies (ICTs). His specialization has grown out of a recognition of the pivotal role that ICTs play in the Caribbean region, and he strongly believes that graduates in science and technology should possess a firm understanding of ICTs to enhance their global competitiveness. Dr. Harris' research interests encompass a wide range of areas, including Radio frequency (RF) propagation; Electromagnetic compatibility; Wireless devices and health; Satellite development; and Telecommunications infrastructure resilience. This promotion recognizes his dedication and contributions to these vital fields of study.
