Dr. Gunjan Mansingh (Head, Department of Computing) in her role as Vice President for Innovation and Education for Jamaica Technology and Digital Alliance (JTDA) collaborated with Universal Service Fund to launch Tech Clubs in High Schools. Dr. Mansingh was invited by USF to speak at their launch event held on September 30, 2022, Medallion Hall, which was attended by school principals and teachers from the twenty-seven (27) selected schools across Jamaica. Dr. Mansingh noted that “connecting the dots in the technology ecosystem is critical. Hence, we need to create high schools clubs connecting students with tertiary institutions and also the technology industry”. The launch also facilitated an information both with the Faculty’s programme offerings.
