The University of the West Indies, Mona, regrets to announce the passing of our former colleague, Mr. Paul Brown, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Mr. Brown joined the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science and Technology in 2007, where he served as the Occupational, Environmental, Safety, and Health (OESH) Programme Coordinator until 2015, and continued as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in OESH up to the time of his passing. He served the Department with dedication and professionalism.

In light of his death, The UWI flags will be flown at half-mast on Wednesday, November 18, 2025.

The University extends sincere condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Mr. Paul Brown.
