In an effort to enhance enrollment in its graduate programs and courses, the Faculty of Science and Technology at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus successfully hosted its first online Graduate Recruitment and Information Session online on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. This initiative, spearheaded by the Office of the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies and Research under the leadership of Dr. Curtis Busby Earle, welcomed around 30 prospective students alongside faculty members include the graduate coordinators. Dr. Busby-Earle provided an overview of the Faculty's graduate programs, highlighted available resources, and guided attendees through the application process while the coordinators faciliated small group discussions with the participants. Furthermore, Ms. Ava Loi Forbes, representing the Board for Graduate Studies and Research, delivered a presentation on available scholarship opportunities for specific programs. Looking ahead, the Faculty plans to establish this as an annual event, strategically targeting final-year undergraduate students, alumni, and industry professionals to raise awareness about its graduate offerings.
