Congratulations to our Physics duo, Dr. Venkateswara Penugonda and Dr. Leonardo Clarke, who have achieved Institute of Physics (IOP) 'Trusted Reviewer' status in recognition of their exceptionally high level of peer review competency. IOP Trusted Reviewer status is awarded following the submission of a top-quality review report, as graded by experienced editors. This designation reflects a high level of peer review expertise and the ability to constructively critique scientific literature to an exceptional standard. Their achievement was made in collaboration with the Electrochemical Society and the Environmental Research: Climate journal.

Dr. Venkateswara Penugonda is the Head of the Department of Physics. His research focuses on glass materials, dielectrics, photo and thermoluminescence, non-linear optics, radiation-shielding glass materials, and bioactive glasses. Dr. Leonardo Clarke is a lecturer in the same department, with research interests in the mechanisms driving present and future climate variability in the Caribbean, particularly the relationship between Caribbean precipitation and sea surface temperatures in the tropical North Atlantic and the equatorial Pacific.
