In a heartfelt tribute to the commitment and hard work of its academic and administrative staff, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) through its Staff Engagement Committee hosted two special instalments of its Unsung Hero Awards. The first ceremony was held on Administrative Professionals’ Day (April 23, 2025), followed by the inaugural Teachers’ Day edition on May 7, 2025.
These events honoured individuals whose outstanding contributions often take place behind the scenes—those whose dedication and service play a vital role in maintaining the faculty’s standard of excellence. What made the awards even more meaningful was the nomination process: administrative staff were nominated by faculty members, while academic staff were nominated by the students they serve and inspire.
In addition to the award presentations, all staff members in their respective categories were recognized with tokens of appreciation. Administrative staff also participated in the university-wide Administrative Day celebration hosted by the Human Resource Management Division, further highlighting their invaluable contributions.
Through these events, FST reinforced its commitment to a culture of gratitude and recognition, celebrating the individuals who help make the faculty a place of excellence, innovation, and care.
