FST congratulates Prof. Rupika Delgoda (Director, Natural Products Institute) on being named among the 2021 Anthony N Sabga Caribbean Awardees for Excellence. She has been awarded for excellence in Science & Technology. Dr. Floyd Morris, also of The UWI, is also a 2021 awardee for Public & Civic Contribution. The Sabga awards recognize significant Caribbean achievement in four areas - Arts & Letters, Science & Technology, Public & Civic Contributions and Entrepreneurship – and are meant to encourage and support the pursuit of excellence by Caribbean persons, for the benefit of the region. It is the most prestigious prize of its kind in the Caribbean. The full list of 2021 awardees are Arts & Letters:  Ms Maria Nunes (Joint - Trinidad and Tobago); Mr Sean Sutherland (Joint - St Vincent); Entrepreneurship: Dr Guna Muppuri (Jamaica); Public & Civic Contributions: Dr Floyd Morris (Jamaica); Science & Technology: Professor Rupika Delgoda (Joint - Jamaica); Dr Ayanna Phillips Savage (Joint - Trinidad and Tobago).
