Professor Noureddine Benkeblia’s commitment to scholarly excellence and service to the plant science community has earned him recognition as the 2025 Outstanding Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Plant Science (CJPS).
The distinction celebrates his valuable contributions to the journal and his role in supporting the publication of rigorous, high-quality plant science research. Through his editorial service, Professor Benkeblia has helped researchers strengthen their work while contributing to the continued advancement of knowledge within the field.
An internationally recognised plant scientist, Professor Benkeblia specialises in plant physiology, postharvest biology and biochemistry. His research and professional service continue to contribute to scientific discourse both regionally and internationally.
As part of the recognition, CJPS has granted Professor Benkeblia a waiver of page charges and open-access fees for his next paper accepted by the journal.
The Faculty of Science and Technology at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, joins the wider scientific community in celebrating Professor Benkeblia on this well-deserved achievement and wishes him continued success.
