From the Head of the Department of Government and entire university we would like to congratulate Miss Ackera Sherokie Gowie @ackeragowie , on her coronation as Miss St. Mary Festival Queen 2018. Miss Gowie is a holder of a Bsc in International Relations and Public Sector Management from for the Department of Government UWI Mona. She is currently employed in the Office of the Director of Student Services and Development (OSSD). She is also a Resident Advisor on the George Alleyne Hall and will be pursuing a Master of Art in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change in September, 2018. Miss Gowie will now advance as the parish winner to the national competition where she will compete against 12 other parish winners for the coveted title of Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2018. We wish this outstanding alumni all the best as she pursues her dream of being a cultural ambassador.
