Peer Support Provider Programme

University Counselling Service (UCS) is responsible for the Peer Support Provider programme.
Peer Support Providers are students trained to provide support for other students. They do this by giving students an opportunity to talk about personal, social and educational issues. Peer Support Providers also educate their peers about various wellness and mental health topics by means such as posting information to various media and by doing presentations on request.
They also provide referrals to various agencies on campus including the Counselling Unit.
