Research Interests: 
Research and publishing in the history and culture of Africans in the Americas, particularly in the Caribbean and Latin America. Specific areas of interest are Slavery, Abolition and Plantation Management, Colonization, Race, Religion and Decolonization.
Honours and Awards: 
- The Principal’s Research Award for Faculty Research Project Attracting the Most Research Funds in the Faculty of Humanities and Education for 2026, “Analysing the Ministry of the Moravian Church in the Caribbean, 1732-1860s.”

UWI Service: 
- Administering three undergraduate degrees, MA in Cultural Studies, MPhil in Cultural Studies and a PhD in Cultural Studies.
- Planning and organizing various conferences and the yearly distinguished lectures: Walter Rodney, Stuart Hall and Bob Marley.
- Initiated the UWI Mona Prison Project where prisoners at the Tower Street Correctional Facility were trained and received a Certificate in Entertainment Business. The programme was funded by BARD Prison Initiative to the tune of 25,000.00 United States
