Study Tours and Visiting Groups

The UWI, Mona Campus provides international universities the opportunity to explore Caribbean culture in an organized and structured way through institutional visits. These visits offer groups a unique educational and cultural journey, gaining an understanding of Jamaica and its offerings. Guided by signed policies and agreements, UWI helps plan detailed trips, discussing group size, arrival, budget, itinerary, recreational and educational requirements, and other events. Group visits, lasting between 1-6 weeks, are meticulously planned, ensuring an unforgettable UWI Mona, Jamaican experience.

Itinerary

We take care of all logistics for your group visit, ensuring a balance between academics and social activities. During the planning phase, we require:

  • The main objectives and expected outcomes of your visit.
  • The course or program title to engage appropriate stakeholders.
  • The size of your budget and expected spend on each focus area.
  • The name of any identified facilitator for course modules.
  • The size and gender distribution of your group for housing, transport, and teaching facility arrangements.

Groups typically travel with one or two faculty members as chaperones and lecturers. All details are finalized before your arrival, ensuring a holistic experience that meets participants' objectives.
