Symposium: The Logistics hub: The Economy vs the Environment?
The University of the West Indies, Mona in association with Caribbean Maritime Institute is organizing a series of symposia to provide objective information, increase awareness and facilitate discourse on the much discussed issues related to the development of a Jamaica logistics hub. The first of these will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013. at the under the theme The Logistics Hub: The Economy vs. The Environment? It aims to provide a forum for discussion, collaboration and intellectual exchange for all participants.
Inaugural Academic Conference on International Football
The Centre for Leadership and Governance (Department of Government) and the Institute of Caribbean Studies, University of the West Indies (Mona Campus) will host the Inaugural Academic Conference on International Football on April 16 – 17, 2014. The Conference will be sited on the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies at venues to be announced. The theme for this year’s Conference reads Ideology, Culture, Politics and Everyday Life and seeks to capture critical areas of focus surrounding the sport and its development and application in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the world.
All are invited to participate.
