The purpose of the Service Catalogue is to document all the services available to customers and establish the foundation for other service management components. A SC clearly defines what services are available from the IT organization and aligns those services with the business goals and needs.
Objectives of the Service Catalogue:
- Describe the services offered to customers and support teams
- Used as a guide to orient and direct customers.
- Include, in general terms, the levels of service associated with each of the services offered.
- Be available to the Service Desk and all the staff in direct contact with customers.
