Jessica Byron is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations,
attached to the Dept. of Government, Faculty of Social
Sciences, UWI, Mona. Her initial university training was
done at the Cave Hill and St. Augustine Campuses of the
UWI, and she holds a Ph.D. in International Relations
from the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales
of the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Before joining
the UWI Faculty, nine years ago, she lectured at the Institute
of Social Studies in The Hague, The Netherlands. Prior
to that, she served as a Foreign Service Officer with
the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Organization
of Eastern Caribbean States. Research interests include
the Caribbean’s relations with Latin America and
with Europe, small states and the multilateral system
and Gender and International Relations. .
