NURS 2016
This is a two-part skills laboratory-based course which focuses on the new nursing students’ development of fundamental evidence-based practice competencies in uncomplicated settings. It introduces the nursing process as a foundation for determining, implementing and evaluating nursing actions to meet basic human needs and targets the psychomotor and affective learning domains. Through role-modelling and peer interactions, students are assisted to foster professional interpersonal relationships and ethical / legal sensitivity in providing basic nursing care to individuals across the life-cycle and along the wellness-illness continuum.
