NURS 3010
This practicum focuses on the synthesis of concepts of primary, secondary and tertiary levels of health care intervention in the conduct of evidence-based practice to care for individuals, families and communities across the life-cycle. It introduces the student to the use of the nursing process in perinatal care planning and engages them in primary health care policies and practices and health promotion. Additionally, it enables the students’ critical thinking in integrating the bio-psychosocial sciences into the primary care nursing of individuals, families and communities in all health care settings.
