NURS 3023
This course focuses on the concepts, theories and principles of health promotion and health education. It facilitates students’ use of the nursing process and critical thinking in the application of these areas to the health and welfare of persons throughout the life cycle and along the wellness-illness continuum in primary and secondary prevention. Students will utilize evidence-based knowledge to inform individuals, families and communities as they engage in health promotion and health educational activities. Emphasis is placed on the use effective interpersonal relationship and caring in communicating health messages.
