NURS 4032
This course prepares the senior nursing student for the new role of registered nurse. It engages the student’s critical thinking skills in examination of issues crucial to contemporary professional nursing practice and assists them to establish an evidence base for best clinical practice. The course guides the student through an analysis of frameworks for patient care management while focusing on the development of administrative skills. It anticipates that students will assume leadership roles and show increasing independence and competence in utilizing the nursing process to provide quality patient care along the wellness-illness continuum; across the life cycle. The student will be placed in the clinical setting for at least three (3) days per week.
