This course involves in-depth examination of the principles of teaching and learning both in the classroom and clinical areas.  It also analyzes the critical elements necessary for clinical teaching and guidance.  Current teaching methods and instructional technologies are examined and applied where appropriate and feasible.  Teaching laboratories are used to develop competencies and practice teaching for skill refinement.  Major emphasis is on applying knowledge to clinical practice.  Laboratory and clinical experiences are integrally interwoven into this course.  The focus is to uncover and discover knowledge implicit in the clinical practice.  Use of the androgogical approach is emphasized.
