Overview: Nurses and midwives are the primary point of contact within health care systems with potential for great health care innovations to improve the quality of care. This can be achieved by providing a platform for developing research and leadership capacity among nurses and midwives, fostering dynamic and sustained engagement of researchers, research users and decision makers in the policy development process and supporting the scale up of innovative programs and practices.

The Village is an interactive and participatory themed exhibition for visitors to explore and learn more about our research. Special exhibits will also pinpoint contributions made by Mona researchers to Policy development, spotlight upcoming researchers, and unveil emerging studies. Open to the Public, visiting students and campus community.

Overview: A night time stargazing activity with the Astronomy club. Meet after dark to stargaze. Two short talks about rockets and satellites and the cosmos by Louis-Ray Harris and L. Nathan Henderson Participants will be able to view different constellations and planets through the telescope.

Overview: The Seminar will provide effective tools for writing viable research proposals for funding; and present strategies for transferring research results into the marketplace

Overview: The TMRU was established in 1956 with the goal to deliver high quality research and service that eventually addressed regional and global issues related to malnutrition. The TMRU is one of the Units under the Caribbean Institute of Health Research (CAIHR) formerly known as the Topical Medicine Research Institute (TMRI). The TMRU has revolutionised the management and care of malnutrition and was the first to develop a practical manual for the World Health Organization (WHO) on the management of malnutrition.

Poetry Clash provides a platform for aspiring poets to share their talents at this event. UWI students, graduates and Poets from across the island will perform original poetry. Poets selected to advance will perform to a supportive and enthusiastic audience. The audience will select 4 poets to advance and there will be a judge's pick, as well. Poets! The top three contestants will receive cash prizes.

Overview: Among other advantages such as reduced maintenance on CHP (Combied Heat and Power) combustion engine units and lower overall plant emissions, LNG provides a large amount of free cooling to end users. Since LNG is delivered and stored as a cryogenic liquid, it has an enormous free cold energy that can be captured and used to increase overall plant efficiencies and total lower production costs. Bringing the 20th anniversary URD programme to a fitting close, the event, hosted by the Principal and attended by senior Mona officials and Awardees, will recognise outstanding Mona researchers in various categories, selected from across disciplines.

MonaLaw experts and researchers in economic law, financial crimes and corporate governance, and others, will discuss the way forward to strengthen good governance and acccountability in public sector companies.
