Since the introduction of the CXC programme, teachers and educators in the region have produced several language and literature texts. Time for Poetry, published earlier this year is a contribution to the study of poetry at upper secondary level. It appears, however, to be a preparation-text with a difference. Professional expertise and a genuine love of poetry have gone into the workshop approach Ms. Carasco-Bailey develops for her selection, and certain distinct aspects of her achievement recommend this as a standard CXC text.
