Campus Overview

Established in 2008 in Montego Bay, the UWI Mona Western Jamaica Campus extends the excellence of The University of the West Indies to the western parishes of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. As an integral part of the Mona Campus, it brings world-class education closer to communities in St. James, Hanover, Westmoreland, Trelawny and St. Elizabeth while welcoming students from across the region and beyond.

The campus offers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through the Faculties of Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Medical Sciences, alongside the Mona School of Business and Management. Its School of Nursing has earned a strong reputation for training compassionate, highly skilled healthcare professionals who compete on a global stage.
