The launch of the EFJ’s FCF Discovery Centre Boardwalk represents the first phase of a visitor centre called “The Discovery Centre”. The project was funded by a then Forest Conservation Fund (FCF) grant with goals relating to demonstrating how the sustainable development of our coastal resources can be achieved while conserving habitat quality and diversity. The boardwalk traverses a large section of limestone forest found at the DBML and will allow for the exposure of visitors to the value of limestone forests as well as other habitats that will form part of our future visitor centre.

The EFJ’s FCF Discovery Centre Boardwalk officially opened on Tuesday June 20, 2017.
