Criteria: 

1. Be a Jamaican citizen
2. Be a full-time student
3. On the first day of May in the year of the application, the candidate shall not be over the age of twenty-three (23) years
4. Be a person of good character, displaying leadership qualities, and having active involvement in community service
5. Have a 3.0 GPA average or above
6. Have given good and sufficient evidence that the requirements specified have been satisfied
