Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) presents a two-day Data Protection Foundation Workshop starting on February 16, 2022.
This course will equip participants to be able to apply elements of the Data Protection Act to their organisations. The Data Protection Act was assented to by the Governor General of Jamaica on July 10, 2020 and became the law of the land. On the implementation of the Act all entities (data controllers) that process personal data will be required to register with the supervisory authority, identify what personal data they process and state what technical and organizational measures have been deployed to protect those assets.
It is essential that everyone who works with customers' data is aware of their legal requirements. Whether you work in a marketing team, or run your own business, you will process someone’s personal data, and you need to do this legally and correctly.
