The UWI Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) Regional Coordinating Office in collaboration with the Portia Simpson Miller Foundation invites you to the Portia Simpson Miller Distinguished Lecture. Entitled, Get On Board Sisters! The Woman’s Case for Reparatory Justice, the distinguished lecture will be delivered by Professor Verene Shepherd, Chair, UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD); Director, Centre for Reparations Research, The UWI; and Vice-Chair, CARICOM Reparations Commission. The event will also feature remarks from Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Vice-Chancellor, The UWI and Professor Paula Morgan, University Director, The UWI IGDS.
