The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is a newly established academic unit that comprises four divisions: Radiological Sciences, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, and Occupational Therapy. Physical Therapy is a health profession, concerned with health promotion, prevention of physical disabilities and the rehabilitation of persons disabled by pain, disease or injury. The Radiological Sciences programme helps develop students with the relevant scientific knowledge, technical skills, and attitudes necessary to become clinically competent imaging technologists suited for the needs of the Caribbean and international community.


Our vision is to be a globally recognized leader in health and rehabilitation research, education and practice.
The school of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences contains several academic, administrative and auxiliary staff member, who provide quality service to the students and relevant stakeholders of the University.

Undergraduate Programmes
Our school offers a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Radiological Sciences is designed to provide fundamental and advanced didactic and practice in diagnostic and therapeutic radiography, nuclear medicine, ultrasonography and radiotherapy. This programme will offer both a 4-year and 5-year majors. All students, regardless of major being pursued, will sit the first 3 years together and complete the same requirements within the first 3 years of the degree.

Our school also offers a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physical Therapy designed to equip students with skills to diagnose and manage movement disorders while enhancing physical capabilities. The curriculum covers all aspects of health care in the field, including corrective, preventative, and consultative services to reduce physical disabilities and movement disorders. Students who are awarded the BSc Physical Therapy degree are required to complete an internship period of (1) year in an acute or rehabilitation hospital in order to register to practice in Jamaica.
