FST Student Heads to Hong Kong for Goldman Sach's Internship

Creating websites since second form and fully immersed in Data Science by the time he got to fifth form, Michael Calloo, decided to pursue a Major in Computer Science and Statistics with the intention of ultimately using machine learning to help students learn math. Originally from St. Catherine, Michael is now in his final year of his undergraduate studies.

He has done extensive research on tools used in the data science industry, as well as engaged in app development, applying his skills to several entrepreneurial interests.

Michael found out about the Goldman Sachs Internship through an Artificial Intelligence class and he was encouraged to attend an introductory session hosted by Goldman Sachs in the faculty during the month of October, 2018. After 5 rounds of interviews he received the offer in the second week of January, 2019 to be an intern in the Mobile Apps and Web Development Division. Michael leaves to represent Jamaica, and the University of the West Indies (Mona), in his internship with Goldman Sachs in June of this year.
