Last Wednesday, November 6, Senator, The Hon. Pearnel Charles Jr. injected interesting insight into the Level 2 Urban Geography course when he delivered an engaging lecture centred on the nature of the urban housing demand and emerging sustainability issues. An exciting discussion followed as students contributed innovative ideas and expressed concerns over the challenges imposed by the balance between urbanisation and resource constraints. Students were invited to share their experiences and knowledge through social media platforms and encouraged to use their skills to participate in development and governance. The session was a successful one and proved to be of significant value in consolidating discussions on sustainability intersections covered in the course material.
