Mr. Jordon Freeman was recently awarded the 2021 Prime Minister’s award for Innovation in Science and Technology for ‘Jamaica Bio-Plastic’ at a virtual ceremony held on February 6, 2022. Mr. Freeman graduated from the Faculty of Science and Technology with a BSc in Biotechnology and is currently pursuing a PhD in same area. His research focuses on assessing the industrial use of starch from discarded ackee seeds. The Faculty is proud of Mr. Freeman!
