The Institute of Jamaica (IOJ) hosted its annual Musgrave Medal Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts, The UWI Mona. Ten distinguished Jamaicans who have done stellar work in their respective fields were honoured for their contribution to literature, science and the arts. Among them were Dr. Joy Spence, Master Blender and Chemist (FST Alum, Department of Chemistry) who was awarded the Gold Musgrave Medal for her contribution to Science as well as Dr. Eric Garraway, Lecturer and Entomologist (Department of of Life Sciences) who was awarded the Silver Musgrave Medal for Science. Mr. Kevin Jackson (FST Alum), Animator and Lecturer was awarded the Silver Musgrave Medal for his contribution to Arts.
