At the Department of Government, we believe that your University education is more than lectures and exams. We encourage you to be an active learner: ask questions, challenge ideas respectfully, join a club, participate in a Model UN debate or an internship, attend a guest lecture, write a letter to the editor of a newspaper, or pursue a second language. These moments matter. They will deepen your engagement with the world of ideas and strengthen your preparation for your future career.

But here is our one non-negotiable: attend your classes. Whether you are studying full-time or part-time, showing up is your first commitment to your success... and our partnership with you. Consistent attendance is key to benefiting from an engaging, dynamic, and supportive learning environment. Show up for yourself, first and foremost.

As a Department within a Caribbean university with deep regional roots and a global outlook, we are proud of our history.
