The Office of Administration at The University of the West Indies (The UWI) is pleased to announce the promotion of five members of staff to Professors, the highest academic rank at the institution.

Eleven (11) of Jamaica’s brightest students competed for one of the oldest, and most prestigious international scholarship programmes, the Rhodes Scholarship this year, and on November 10, 2022, David Salmon was announced the victor.

The highly anticipated annual festival of Carols – The University Chapel Annual Carol Service will take place on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the University Chapel, UWI, Mona.

All proceeds from the Service will go towards the University Chapel restoration fund.

The University of the West Indies, (The UWI) Mona, through the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) will host the launch of the UWI Mona Prison Project (UMPP) on December 6^th, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Neville Hall Lecture Theatre at the UWI Mona Campus.

The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Mona and Norfolk State University (NSU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding committing to areas of cooperation while on an official visit to Jamaica.
