Career Awareness Month Activities
Career Awareness Month features a series of events designed to prepare students for the professional world. Here are the programmes available during Career Awareness Month:
ProFashional Show
This seminar places emphasis on appropriate attire for the working environment, the job interview, and other work-related occasions. Additionally, issues associated with workplace ethics are addressed. It provides practical tips on how to make a positive first impression and maintain a professional image.
Mock Interviews
These interviews are specially organized to assist finalizing students to develop needed interviewing skills and techniques which are necessary for a successful job search. They provide a realistic interview experience, allowing students to practice and receive feedback in a supportive environment.
Career Expo’ And Job Fair
The Exposition is held over a two-day period during which a wide cross-section of private and public sector organizations mount displays on a range of career areas. The exposition will expose students to a variety of possible career opportunities and widen their knowledge of various organizations. Students will also be able to network with key Human Resource Personnel.
On day 2, a Job Fair is held in conjunction with the expo. This is an opportunity for final year students to network with prospective employers/boothholders and to attend structured or walk-in interviews.
Career Forum
This dynamic event bridges the gap between ambition and opportunity by bringing together students and industry professionals. The forum hosts insightful panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions that reveal emerging job markets, critical workplace skills, and diverse paths to success. Whether you are seeking to pivot your career, discover new professional passions, or connect with industry mentors, this forum is your gateway to navigating today’s evolving workforce with confidence.
