Based on certain prevailing environmental conditions, the Tropical Wave is not likely to develop into a Tropical Depression/Storm for another 2-3 days. Nonetheless, it will influence weather conditions in our waters and on land, over the same period and into the weekend.

So although we are not yet faced with a Storm, we should expect "severe weather" conditions. Then, if a storm was to be formed, it could happen across the weekend.

Considering all of the above, below are points for your guidance;

• Departments are to be asked to do internal preparations against water ingress, by close of business on Friday 23 September 2022.
• EMD to complete all drain cleaning (roof and ground) by close of business on Friday 23 September 2022.
• EMD to have work party on standby to do battening over the weekend, if required.
• General Stores to be on standby to distribute stores and equipment over the weekend, if required.
• Review the situation on Friday 23 September 2022
