Abstract:

Three recent full-colour publications from Macmillan, two wall maps and an atlas, will help fill the need for attractive cartographic aids by teachers of geography.
The wall maps are a 'first' in an important respect that of strength and durability. They are the first wall maps for the Caribbean to be produced on a durable plastic material which the publisher claims to be “virtually indestructible”. Metal eyelets in the four corners facilitate hanging by pins and will prevent tearing. The "wipe clean surface" can be written upon with water-based felt pens. They are bright modem maps, using a clear typeface and strong colours. Unfortunately, the reverse sides are blank, whereas other wall maps published by Macmillan at the same price have maps on both sides.
