While it is clearly stated that it is a guide for use in schools, there is no clear indication of the type of school it is designed for, nor the courses in which it is expected to be used. Among those who advised on the project, however, are people associated particularly with secondary education and one may assume that it is for this level that the book is intended. Tourism is a subject which is included in the Caribbean Examinations Council syllabuses for both Geography and Social Studies.
