The Caribbean Examinations Council, established in 1972, initiated the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) in 1997 to replace the GCE A-Level examinations at the end of sixth form or grade 13. This research examined the CAPE Literatures in English curriculum, its implementation, and teachers’ adaptation to it.
