The Caribbean Centre for Research in Bioscience (CCRiB) of the UWI Mona will be hosting its annual scientific research camp under the theme, ‘Foundations of Research: Building Scientists of Tomorrow’

Who can attend?
This programme will engage advanced high school and undergraduate students in five (5)  with hands-on exposure to real-world scientific research, theoretical backgrounds and experimental design.

• July 13-17, 2026: Research Methods in Cellular Biology for the Development of Nature-Based Cancer Therapies: Dr. Kimberley Foster, and Prof. Rupika Delgoda (Facilitators)

• August 10-14, 2026: Introduction to Computational Biochemistry: Applications in Molecular Modelling and Drug Design: Dr. William Irvine (Facilitator)

• July 1-2, 9, and 16-17, 2026: Introduction to In Vitro Plant Research for Agrobiotechnology: Dr. Sylvia Mitchell (Facilitator)

• July 5 - 9, 2026: Polymerase Chain Reaction: Principles and Applications: Dr. Sheena Francis and Prof. Paula Tennant (Facilitators)

• July 8 - 9, 2026: Following Nature's Lead: Chemistry on Land and Sea: Dr. Winklet Gallimore (Facilitator)
