
Dr. Kimberley Foster is a Jamaican biotechnologist with a PhD in Biotechnology from The University of the West Indies, where her research focused on cancer, cell biology, and medicinal plants. She has devoted the last four years of her career to studying psilocybin mushrooms as former chief operations officer of Future Wellness mushroom facility. Her research has allowed her to develop cultivation techniques to optimize psilocybin expression in psychedelic fungi. Her role now involves managing the cell culture laboratory at CCRiB-Natural Products building and now focuses on investigating the bioactivity of psilocybin mushrooms and screening Jamaican medicinal plants for their potential anticancer properties.
