Criteria: 
The award is available to Jamaican Nationals who are:

1. no older than 25 years in the year of the award
2. pursuing undergraduate studies in the field of Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical, Electronics or Electrical Power)
3. high academic performance in the University Scholarship Examinations or the Cambridge A' Level or CXC Cape Examination results
4. verifiable financial need
5. community and in co-curricular involvement
6. leadership qualities

Additional Information: 
The recipient of the award will be:

1. required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.60 in their University Examinations in order to continue on the award
2. formally bonded to serve in Jamaica for a minimum of three (3) years immediately after graduation
