Eligibility:

The award is available to Jamaican Nationals who are:

no older than 25 years in the year of the award;
pursuing undergraduate studies in the field of Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical, Electronics or Electrical Power)

Criteria:

The award will be based on:

high academic performance in the University Scholarship Examinations or the Cambridge A' Level or CXC Cape Examination results ;
verifiable financial need;
community and in co-curricular involvement;
leadership qualities.

Method of Selection:

Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel comprising representatives from Petrojam Ltd. and UWI, Mona

Condition:

The recipient of the award will be:

required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.60 in their University Examinations in order to continue on the award;
formally bonded to serve in Jamaica for a minimum of three (3) years immediately after graduation.
