As part of the Mona Campus efforts to increase food safety, the Food Establishments and Service Policy (FESP) was approved at the Finance and General Purposes Committee (F&GPC) meeting of July 1, 2019.
The FESP provides the governance framework for The UWI’s interaction with ALL food establishments which includes caterers that do business within the Mona Campus jurisdiction. This is to ensure a high standard of food safety and security for all stakeholders.
The policy also provides guidance on how The UWI and its departments, units, sections, centres, halls of residence and student groups will interact with the food establishments that are approved to operate on the Mona Campus.
