The Office of the Director General consists of the technical and administrative units which coordinate and implement the activities of the Centre. ICENS has a core staff of 26 people (including 18 graduates) in six specialist scientific, technical and administrative units:
Scientific and technical staff have experience and expertise in environmental sampling and a range of chemical analysis methods, database structuring and management, statistical treatment and the interpretation of environmental data, and the use of GIS for the analysis, interpretation, visualisation and dissemination of environmental information. Visiting local and international scientists also collaborate in ICENS programmes.
Our 7 faculties and 12 professional schools offer more than 200 programmes to some 18,000 graduate, undergraduate and continuing studies students.
The UWI, Mona ranks first in Jamaica among accredited tertiary-level programmes. In 2012, the University was again one of Jamaica’s Top 100 Employers.
