The UWI mourns the loss of legal luminary Suzanne Ffolkes-Goldson

Mrs. Suzanne Ffolkes Goldson

Mrs. Suzanne Ffolkes-Goldson

A legal luminary who joined the academe as her vehicle to impart knowledge to shape a generation of scholars and practitioners in the legal profession. Suzanne’s pedigree endeared her to all whom she interacted with within our community. She navigated the legal profession and the academic community with distinction and panache. Her colleagues and students both in the academic and practitioner circles will miss her intellectual acumen as an advocate and a teacher. As she transitions to Valhalla we say walk good our dear, Suzanne. The UWI is in a better place today having benefited from your stellar service to the community”.

Professor Densil A. Williams, Principal and Pro Vice-Chancellor, The UWI Mona Campus

“The St. Augustine Campus mourns the loss of our colleague Suzanne Ffolkes-Goldson, Senior Lecturer in Law and Director of the CCGI, Mona. Colleagues at the then unified Faculty of Law, Cave Hill, where Suzanne worked for over 20 years before joining the new Mona Law Faculty, remember her as a much loved lecturer and colleague, dedicated, dynamic and compassionate. She was a well-respected specialist in Corporate and Commercial Law with several important publications in her field and an enduring body of work that contributed to the development of Caribbean jurisprudence. We join our Mona and Cave-Hill Colleagues in expressing our deepest Condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.”

Professor Rose-Marie Belle Antoine, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Principal, The UWI St. Augustine Campus.
