Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) congratulates Javere Green, 2nd year MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management student, for his outstanding performance in the 2024-25 University at Buffalo (UB) Global Leadership Programme's Well Cell Global Project.
Javere was selected as one of the top five students in the programme. This year, 65 scholars from 14 teams from around the world joined the UB School of Management’s Global Leadership program — in partnership with Well Cell Global — to drive innovative pharmaceutical solutions to their local markets. A total of five students from MSBM participated this year.
Javere’s team, which included students from Ghana and India, was tasked to develop a programme to introduce the pharmaceutical product to India. By being a top finalist, he is invited to visit the University at Buffalo in June 2025 and attend the Well Cell Conference June 5-7, 2025 in Texas
In expressing his delight about the programme, Javere, stated, “Participating in the Global Leadership Program has profoundly enhanced my leadership abilities and expanded my global outlook. The program sharpened my analytical skills, empowering me to tackle complex challenges with confidence. Through a strong emphasis on self-reflection, I have gained valuable insights into my leadership style and identified opportunities for personal growth. Creative problem-solving exercises have equipped me with innovative strategies to address diverse challenges effectively. Additionally, collaborating with an international team has enriched my interpersonal skills, fostering the ability to communicate and work seamlessly across cultures. This comprehensive experience has not only prepared me for future professional opportunities but has also instilled the confidence and readiness to lead in a dynamic, global environment.”
A Sales Control Specialist at Nestle Jamaica Ltd, Javere was also recently nominated for “Rookie of the Year” .
The Global Leadership Programme offered by the University at Buffalo, USA is a year-long programme. Coordinated by the School of Management at the University at Buffalo, the programme exposes students to a myriad of global issues, in so doing, helping to broaden their vision, perspective and leadership skills. Through the programme, participants are encouraged to understand their own leadership preferences and styles while working with peers from different parts of the world.
Graduate Students from MSBM have been participating in this programme for the past four years.
The programme is made possible through the guidance of UB’s Professor Dorothy Siaw-Asamoah, other UB faculty and coaches, as well as the support of Well Cell Global and National Association of Jamaican and Supportive Organizations.
