August 1, 2022, marked a very special milestone in the life of our School as ten years ago on August 1, 2012, the Mona School of Business (MSB) and the Department Of Management Studies (DOMS) merged to form the Mona School of Business & Management (MSBM). 

MSBM inherited and built on the rich traditions, strength and impact of both parents and emerged “Stronger Together” to become the premier Business School in the Caribbean.

Guided by our vision, our ethos has been one of excellence, innovation, and knowledge creation as we build a world class institution with best-in-class programmes and cutting-edge research, supported by a world class team of faculty and staff members. 

Our programmes have received top rankings by the Eduniversal Best Masters & MBA Ranking. Very significantly our MBA program, was most recently re-accredited in June 2022 by AMBA, receiving the highest period of accreditation of five years, for the second consecutive cycle. 

Our students have gone on to excel in corporate and entrepreneurial life in the region and globally.   Our faculty continue to produce world-class research which is published in top journals and used by industry as applied research.

The world is much changed from a decade ago, as pandemic, economic and social upheavals, the rapid pace of change in technology, and the evolution in the Higher Education Market among others impact us. The challenges are many but our journey continues….times change but we remain committed to our mission.

The gains made over the last ten years are part of a journey started by DOMS and MSB, with MSBM taking the baton.  I would like to place on record my thanks to the entire faculty and staff, the Faculty of Scocial Sciences, our Board of Directors, alumni, students and members of the wider UWI community for their role in helping us achieve our mission.  The previous Heads of Departments & Executive Directors have also played a pivotal role in our success.

Over the coming year, we will commemorate this milestone and honour those who have been integral in the success of MSBM.

We face the future confident that we will continue to excel as we respond to the changing times, and reach towards achieving our vision and mission.
