OVER 300 local employees were promoted at Digicel last year through a partnership the company has with the University of the West Indies' Mona School of Business & Management.

In an effort to promote the post graduate programmes offered by MSBM at the Western Jamaica Campus (WJC), a Business Mixer was held on January 23, 2013 at Blue Beat in Montego Bay. The event targeted professionals from Western Jamaica as prospects for the various programmes.

The Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) hosted the Jamaican leg of the regional Caribbean Open Data Conference from April 11 to 12, 2013. The Master in Business Management programme emphasizes the core business concepts and practical dimensions of business management, allowing students to self-select either an entrepreneurial or an internship stream.

The Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) in collaboration with the Jamaica Institute of Financial Services (JIFS) presented an intensive three day seminar on April 24-26 2013 to sharpen the skills of leaders in the financial services sector.
