Dr Aldrin E. Sweeney is a Senior Lecturer (Science/STEM Education) in the School of Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona. He received his PhD in Science Education from Florida State University in 1997, and has taught at institutions in the USA, the UK and the Caribbean. Dr Sweeney’s research, teaching and consulting interests include the professional preparation of science teachers; science-technology-society issues; biotechnology and biomedical ethics; preclinical medical education; and nanoscale science and engineering education. Dr Sweeney also serves as a member of the Board of Governors at Montserrat Community College.
